Christmas Mantel Decorations
Easing into Christmas decorating after Thanksgiving is my approach.
I am not a fan of marathon bin shuffling and all day trimming until you drop.
Holiday decorating should be fun, not feel like work.
My Christmas decorating tradition is to start with my mantel. Once done & lit, the holiday spirit fills the whole house and sets the stage for the other decor that will appear over the following weeks.
So when my friend Rhoda of Southern Hospitality and Tree Classics asked me to join them in decorating for the season with stunning life-like garlands & wreaths my answer was a resounding BRING IT ON and RING IT IN!
Kicking off my Christmas decorating with the garlands and wreath sent to me by Tree Classics made it even easier to create a beautiful mantel that will last throughout the season.
I choose the Deluxe Noble Fir 28" wreath and Alaskan Spruce 9' garlands.
The inspiration for my mantel comes from my neutral palette of white, gray, black & metallic gold and my 'farmhouse glam' style. I wanted the look to be decidedly holiday, but blend seamlessly with my living room decor.
As soon as I opened the boxes from Tree Classics, I knew the wreath with snow tipped pinecones, eucalyptus and sage colored accent greens would be perfect!
The Alaskan 9 foot garlands are stunning in their simplicity and natural appearance. Both the wreath & garlands are pre-lit with warm toned battery operated LED lights which can be on a timer.
It took only minutes to unwrap, fluff and position the garland & wreath on my mantel. I added nothing to the wreath or garlands, they were perfect right out of the box!
After styling the hearth, I set the timer on the lights with a simple touch of a button and instantly there was holiday magic in the room!
