My fall table is actually in nature, as I set it on my garden patio.

The hay bales came to us as a result of a project my daughter was doing for school, so I had the perfect backdrop for my intimate fall table for two.

Life is certainly different these days and the holidays will likely be different too.

However, that doesn’t mean we should not endeavor to elevate the everyday or that we skip our traditional celebrations.  Oh no, in fact, what we are collectively going through is all the more reason to find the beauty in everyday and to mark special occasions with care.

While setting a beautiful table inspired by nature will not heal, it will help.  Help us to appreciate the beauty we have in nature and the beauty we can create with just a bit of inspiration.

Speaking of help, I know this tour will help get you in the mood for fall and the holidays to come. Oh and, I had a helper too while creating my tablescape.

After I finished snapping the last photo, Edith popped her head out as if to say “good job”!

To create you own fabulous fall table inspired by nature:

- shop your house;

- find branches, flowers, grasses, acorns in and around your home; ( did you see those giant branches I clipped for the porch?  Watch HERE )

- layer dishes;

- use cloth napkins;

- create a simple low centerpiece;

- if you are fortunate to have “the good stuff”, by this I mean china & crystal, by all means use it!  If not, find it at a thrift shop.  Trust me, you will find it there!
