Halloween Porch Decor ~ a little orange

Halloween definitely ranks in the top 3 holidays at my house.

My girls have always loved October 31st from the days of the elementary school costume parade to now, when they are still planning their outfits starting around August. 

Since our porch will be getting a lot of visitors come Hallowed Eve, I thought I would deck it out in the traditional Halloween colors .  It is not scary by any means, but definitely says Halloween!

Halloween Porch Decor

I added pops of orange to my neutral palette. 

As my palette always includes some black, it was pretty easy to get the Halloween vibe going.

As I explain in my video, I have decor "hot spots" on the porch, as I do inside.  Spots where I can easily change out the decor with the seasons or my mood and really change the look of the space.

Decorating an outdoor space whether it be a covered porch or your yard should be approached like you are decorating a room.  Essentially the same 'rules' apply. 

However, I think you can be a bit more whimsical outside.  For me that means adding strong pops of color, like the orange I am using now.
