Lavender Bath Salts - a repurpose

bottlestext.jpg

Don't let the title throw you.  I am not suggesting you repurpose your bath water or bath salts.

Even I would not take a repurpose that far - although I suppose you could let the water evaporate and… just kidding!

Lavender Bath Salts

The repurpose comes in to play with the materials used to make the containers - the salts, lavender and bath water are all fresh & new of course!

The bottles once held Martinelli's apple juice, the corks capped wine, the linen strips were curtains & a shirt and the buttons are vintage.

Giving these things new life, with along with french lavender and epsom salts = Lavender Bath Salts - a repurpose.

This will make 3 seven inch bottles with 5 layers of epsom & 4 of lavender each.

You could use bigger bottles, even wine bottles - just increase the amounts. Oh, and use clear glass.

For the corks I used Rust-oleum spray paint.

It is wonderful paint. I am partial to their bronze metallic finish.  Especially for the corks.  It really makes them look aged.

I love the tags and promise a post on making them.

So give yourself, or someone special, a Valentine of time for a soak, the scent of lavender or even simply something pretty for the bathroom shelf.
